The Saskatchewan Christmas Tree Growers Association supports local growers in their goal to bring high quality real trees to the Saskatchewan and Alberta market and across North America.

Saskatchewan Christmas Tree Growers Association Goal

The goal of the SCTGA is to ensure growers get the information needed to successfully grow Christmas trees. It is a growers’ organization controlled by the members and relies on the volunteer efforts of it’s members.

The SCTGA has about 30 members in Alberta and Saskatchewan.


Services to Members

Information Booklets are available to members and the public who are interested in learning more about growing and marketing real Christmas Trees.

Field days, held at different plantations each summer, allow growers to see what other farmers are doing, and to discuss ideas, questions, and concerns.

Resource Library contains literature and videos on growing and marketing Christmas trees.

News updates on provincial and national happenings, plus a subscription to “Christmas Trees Magazine” is sent to members.

Prairie-hardy Christmas tree seedlings available at cost.

Annual General Meetings which include everything from Financial records for the Association to Show and Tell. These meetings prove to be very informative for growers in all stages of Christmas Tree Farm Operations.
